Named GP For All Patients
From 1st April 2015 all practices in England are contractually required to allocate every patient a named, accountable GP. Prior to this new arrangement, the practice already operated a system where patients, at the point of registration, are given a ‘usual GP’. In most cases, this is the doctor whom you would usually see at the practice. To that end, all patients have been allocated a named GP in accordance with their usual GP. Your named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our practice provides to you. However, please be aware that this does not prevent you from seeing any other GP in the practice as you are currently offered. Also, it may be the case that your named GP is not always available to see you, in which case another GP will be offered. If you would like to find out who your named GP is then please do not hesitate to contact the surgery.
