Things may look a little different!
We will be operating a strictly controlled patient flow system to keep things safe for you, other patients and our staff and minimise any risk of Covid-19 infection.
You’ll likely be greeted at the door by a receptionist with a laptop, who will manage the flow of patients coming into the building. You might be asked to wait outside.
You won’t be invited to sit down, and there won’t be much time for anything besides your flu jab. Vaccines will be delivered in a screened area of our waiting area.
There might be an administrator assisting the nurse.

Don’t attend if you, or any household member have Covid symptoms or are self-isolating – See https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 for more information.
Cancel your appointment – don’t stand us up. You can re-book again if you’re symptom free in 7 days.
Attend alone, where possible
We want to keep unnecessary footfall in practice to a bare minimum to maintain high standards of infection control. If you are the only person attending for a vaccine, please ask people with you to wait outside. The exception of course would be circumstances like a parent or carer with children or dependants, although effort should be made to avoid this circumstance.
Arrive on time
Not early and not late or you may have to wait outside in a socially distanced que. , To keep social distancing measures and so reduce chances of infection, there will be no opportunity to wait in the waiting room. Don’t forget our car park is very small and won’t cope with a high influx of vehicles coming and going.
Wear a face mask
Facemask guidelines are constantly changing. Go to cdc.gov for info on the right facemask. Beware – we won’t let you in the building without a facemask.
Wear lose clothing
Like a t-shirt – we need quick and easy access to your upper arm / shoulder area. There won’t be time for taking off multiple layers of coats and jumpers. Please come prepared as is appropriate for you to help us keep a good safe and efficient flow of patients.
Book ahead – there are no drop-ins
In line with social distancing guidance, we don’t want a crowd in the waiting areas. Please book ahead. This will especially help us with identifying you if you are shielding, or have had past reactions or complications. Please love on your community by booking ahead.

Following which, the myGP.com support service should be the first go-to for help. It’s a service we subscribe to, not one we provide, so for help with this tool, its best go direct to the source and access the GP via other channels if the app doesn’t suffice on this occasion.
